Elnora has been involved in music since her childhood by taking piano lessons, singing in choirs, and solos in church, music festivals, and weddings.
She began writing her own songs around the age of 12. At 18, she performed one of her songs for her high school graduation.
Elnora minored in music at Augustana University in Camrose and toured Europe and the United States with their choir during the two years she attended (1983 1985).
In 1986 1987, she toured with a band called “Morning Star,” singing lead vocals, writing songs, and playing keyboard.
Her first album “Elnora” was released in 1997. One of her songs from that album “Fire” received substantial radio airplay and she made television appearances in Toronto, ON on “100 Huntley Street” and in Lethbridge, AB on “The Miracle Channel.”
Elnora’s 2000 release, “Don’t Let the Rocks Cry Out!” was nominated for a Covenant Award with The Canadian Gospel Music Association for “Best Pop Album.”
She has had the unique opportunity to write School songs for three Catholic Schools in Calgary: St. Brigid, St. Timothy, and Our Lady of Fatima.
She has been a back up singer for Syracuse-based Christian Celtic band, Ceili Rain, and had an opportunity to sing with them while on tour in Ireland in the Spring of 2005.
Elnora recently released her third Album “Show me the Circus,” in the Fall of 2005, which features a duet with veteran songwriter, Bob Halligan Jr., lead singer and founder of successful Celtic group, Ceili Rain, as well as world renowned button accordion player, Buddy Connelly. This CD has garnered very positive response with diverse audiences
Elnora has a great voice and is received well everywhere she sings.
She currently lives in Cochrane, a suburb of Calgary, with her Husband and two children.
